One more missing ingredient from the previous installment was a solo experience, which has been restored in this version.

The UK studio project head the design director is the person tasked with "ensuring those stages are as entertaining and compelling as can be for the players."

Despite allegations that the scope of the game had put a strain on the multiple teams collaborating internationally to build the project, Fas is positive about the endeavor.

"Working with diverse backgrounds, different heritages, it's a really engaging atmosphere to be involved in on a regular basis," he explains.

"This whole method has been a fresh take but also very inspiring because we are working with team members from around the globe."

Regarding the anticipation on the developers, the director says: "We experience stress but at the same time it's exciting.

"This is a large undertaking. It's arguably the largest that the majority of the team have ever been involved in."

Emerging Developer Brings New Insight

That's certainly true of at least one developer, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.
