The Reform UK leader Claims Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a Reform UK election victory, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by telling students that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and white children oppressors.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his perspective on the UK education system, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike soon after securing a victory,” he remarked during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “nonsense”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his political career on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, Farage’s remarks indicated the group would reform the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with schooling – truly monumental. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring a conservative activist, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned through education, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and millions of days of lost learning for students.

At the US event, Farage also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He said such groups were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I am serious. I will help attract vast numbers of youth to these educational programs. I pledge this tonight and I’ll do that.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
